In 2013, Ashok Gehlot of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Sambhu Singh Khetasar of BJP by a margin of 18,478 votes which was 13.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 54.96% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ashok Gehlot of INC won this seat beating Rajendra Gehlot of BJP by a margin of 15,340 votes which was 15.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 55.42% in the seat.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 76 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sardarpura is: 26°18'21.2"N 73°04'27.5"E.
