In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Mani Kumar Sharma of SKM won in this constituency beating Garjaman Gurung of SDF by a margin of 873 votes which was 8.23% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Som Nath Poudyal of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Mani Kumar Sharma of SKM by a margin of 270 votes which was 2.81% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Am Prasad Sharma of SDF won this seat defeating Nar Bahadur Bhandari of INC by a margin of 1,266 votes which was 16.6% of the total votes polled for the seat.
