In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Kannan Ka So Ka of DMK won in this constituency beating Balu K of PMK by a margin of 5452 votes which was 2.54% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Ramajeyalingam.J.K.N of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Guru @ Gurunathan.J of PMK by a margin of 22934 votes which was 11.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Guru @ Gurunathan J of PMK won this seat defeating Elavazhagan P of AIADMK by a margin of 15138 votes which was 8.41% of the total votes polled for the seat.
