In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Mohd Moazam Khan of AIMIM won in this seat defeating Mir Inayath Ali Baqri of TRS by a margin of 82,518 which was 63.18% of the total votes cast for the seat. AIMIM had a vote share of 74.26% in 2018 in this seat.
