In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Durgam Chinnaiah of TRS won in this seat defeating Gaddam Vinod of BSP by a margin of 11,276 which was 8.84% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 43.16% in 2018 in this seat.
