In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Padma Devender Reddy M of TRS won in this seat defeating Ammareddy Gari Upender Reddy of INC by a margin of 47,983 which was 28.42% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 57.84% in 2018 in this seat.
