In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Gaddigari Vittal Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Padakanti Ramadevi of BJP by a margin of 43,331 which was 23.55% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 45.62% in 2018 in this seat.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1,464 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Mudhole is: 19°05'00.6"N 78°00'01.8"E.

A total of three Assembly constituencies in the state of Telangana share borders with Mudhole constituency, which are: Armur, Bodhan, Nirmal. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Nanded district of Maharashtra.
