This constituency covers an approximate area of 3,819 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Mulug is: 18°10'30.7"N 80°12'43.6"E.

A total of seven Assembly constituencies in the state of Telangana share borders with Mulug constituency, which are: Pinapaka, Bhadrachalam, Yellandu, Mahabubabad, Narsampet, Bhupalpalle, Manthani. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Bijapur district of Chhatisgarh.
