In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Tolkanti Prakash Goud of TRS won in this seat defeating Ganesh Renukuntla of TDP by a margin of 58,373 which was 23.26% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 43.42% in 2018 in this seat.
