In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Agnimitra Paul of BJP won in this constituency beating Sayani Ghosh of TMC by a margin of 4487 votes which was 2.35% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Tapas Banerjee of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Hemant Prabhakar of CPIM by a margin of 14283 votes which was 7.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Tapas Banerjee of TMC won this seat defeating Ashok Kumar Mukherjee of CPIM by a margin of 28541 votes which was 17.75% of the total votes polled for the seat.
