In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Rana Chatterjee of TMC won in this constituency beating Baishali Dalmiya of BJP by a margin of 6237 votes which was 5% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Baishali Dalmiya of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Saumendranath Bera of CPIM by a margin of 15403 votes which was 13.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Sultan Singh of TMC won this seat defeating Kanika Ganguly of CPIM by a margin of 6600 votes which was 6.31% of the total votes polled for the seat.
