In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Rajib Lochan Saren of TMC won in this constituency beating Parcy Murmu of BJP by a margin of 18831 votes which was 7.91% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Rajib Lochan Saren of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Besra Susanta of CPIM by a margin of 20307 votes which was 9.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Besra Susanta of CPIM won this seat defeating Sital Chandra Hembram of INC by a margin of 22020 votes which was 12.22% of the total votes polled for the seat.
