In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Adhikari Mangobinda of TMC won in this constituency beating Mahendranath Kowar of BJP by a margin of 31741 votes which was 15.13% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Subhash Mondal of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Bamacharan Banerjee of CPIM by a margin of 6280 votes which was 3.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Banamali Hazra of TMC won this seat defeating Konar Srijit of CPIM by a margin of 298 votes which was 0.17% of the total votes polled for the seat.
