In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Debnath Hansda of TMC won in this constituency beating Palan Saren of BJP by a margin of 39494 votes which was 21.29% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Khagendranath Hembram of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Dibakar Hansda of CPIM by a margin of 49323 votes which was 28.35% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Dibakar Hansda of CPIM won this seat defeating Chunibala Hansda of JKPN by a margin of 7610 votes which was 5.16% of the total votes polled for the seat.
