In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Arup Dhara of TMC won in this constituency beating Sibaram Das of BJP by a margin of 11281 votes which was 4.58% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Chhaya Dolai of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Santinath Bodhuk of CPIM by a margin of 38381 votes which was 17.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Chhaya Dolai of CPIM won this seat defeating Sibaram Das of TMC by a margin of 1296 votes which was 0.64% of the total votes polled for the seat.
