Domjur Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Howrah district in the South West Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. CDB Bally Jagachha and 2. Bankra-I, Bankra-II, Bankra-III, Makardah-II, Narna, Shalap-I and Shalap-II GPs of CDB Domjur

This constituency covers an approximate area of 61 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Domjur is: 22°38'11.0"N 88°17'16.4"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 83.75%, while it was 84.57% in 2016, and 86.31% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Kalyan Ghosh of TMC won in this constituency beating Rajib Banerjee of BJP by a margin of 42620 votes which was 17.32% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Rajib Banerjee of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Protima Dutta W/O - Late Tapan Kumar Dutta of IND by a margin of 107701 votes which was 49.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Rajib Banerjee of TMC won this seat defeating Mohanta Chatterjee of CPIM by a margin of 24986 votes which was 13.37% of the total votes polled for the seat.
