In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Dipak Barman of BJP won in this constituency beating Subhash Chandra Roy of TMC by a margin of 3990 votes which was 1.83% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Anil Adhikari of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Kshitish Chandra Ray of CPIM by a margin of 16839 votes which was 8.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Anil Adhikari of TMC won this seat defeating Rabindra Nath Barman of CPIM by a margin of 8046 votes which was 4.91% of the total votes polled for the seat.
