In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Mosaraf Hussen of TMC won in this constituency beating Amit Kumar Kundu of BJP by a margin of 43975 votes which was 22.82% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Amal Acharjee of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Srikumar Mukherjee of CPI by a margin of 19120 votes which was 11.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Amal Acharjee of TMC won this seat defeating Srikumar Mukherjee of CPI by a margin of 7052 votes which was 5.02% of the total votes polled for the seat.
