In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Nara Hari Mahato of BJP won in this constituency beating Phanibhushan Kumar of INC by a margin of 12200 votes which was 6.11% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Shaktipada Mahato of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Dhirendra Nath Mahato of AIFB by a margin of 8763 votes which was 4.89% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Dhirendra Nath Mahato of AIFB won this seat defeating Shakti Pada Mahato of IND by a margin of 10611 votes which was 7.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
