Karimpur Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Nadia district in the South East Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. CDB Karimpur-I, 2. Dhoradaha-I, Dhoradaha-II, Murutia, Natidanga-I, Natidanga-II and Rahamatpur GPs of CDB Karimpur-II

This constituency covers an approximate area of 292 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Karimpur is: 23°59'08.9"N 88°38'58.9"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 87.06%, while it was 88.53% in 2016, and 90.68% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Bimalendu Sinha Roy of TMC won in this constituency beating Samarendranath Ghosh of BJP by a margin of 23575 votes which was 10.71% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Mahua Moitra of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Samarendranath Ghosh of CPIM by a margin of 15989 votes which was 7.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Samarendranath Ghosh of CPIM won this seat defeating Dr. Ramendra Nath Sarkar of TMC by a margin of 5085 votes which was 2.85% of the total votes polled for the seat.
