Khardaha Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of North 24 Parganas district in the Greater Kolkata region of West Bengal: 1. Khardaha (M), 2. Ward Nos.15, 18 to 21 and 35 of Panihati (M), 5. Bandipur, Bilkanda-I, Bilkanda-II and Patulia GPs of CDB Barrackpur-II

This constituency covers an approximate area of 41 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Khardaha is: 22°44'09.6"N 88°24'19.4"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 79.13%, while it was 82.33% in 2016, and 87.26% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Kajal Sinha of TMC won in this constituency beating Silbhadra Datta of BJP by a margin of 28140 votes which was 15.57% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Amit Mitra of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Asim Kumar Dasgupta of CPIM by a margin of 21200 votes which was 12.58% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Amit Mitra of TMC won this seat defeating Asim Kumar Dasgupta of CPIM by a margin of 26154 votes which was 17.67% of the total votes polled for the seat.
