In 2016, Rohit Sharma of GOJAM was the winner in this seat beating Shanta Chhetri of TMC by a margin of 33726 votes which was 20.57% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Rohit Sharma of GOJAM won this seat defeating Pemu Chhetri of GNLF by a margin of 93096 votes which was 60.28% of the total votes polled for the seat.
