This constituency covers an approximate area of 204 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Moyna is: 22°15'03.2"N 87°46'36.1"E.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Ashoke Dinda of BJP won in this constituency beating Sangram Kumar Dolai of TMC by a margin of 1260 votes which was 0.56% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sangram Kumar Dolai of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Manik Bhowmik of INC by a margin of 12124 votes which was 6.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Bhushan Chandra Dolai of TMC won this seat defeating Sk. Mujibur Rahaman of CPIM by a margin of 9957 votes which was 5.57% of the total votes polled for the seat.
