In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Sukumar De of TMC won in this constituency beating Adhikary Nilanjan of BJP by a margin of 5406 votes which was 2.39% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sukumar De of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Siraj Khan of IND by a margin of 10866 votes which was 5.3% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Sukumar De of TMC won this seat defeating Brahmamay Nanda of SP by a margin of 11867 votes which was 6.74% of the total votes polled for the seat.
