In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Atta Surja Kanta of TMC won in this constituency beating Rama Prasad Giri of BJP by a margin of 2416 votes which was 1.12% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Prodyut Kumar Ghosh of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Surjyakanta Mishra of CPIM by a margin of 13589 votes which was 6.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Surjya Kanta Mishra of CPIM won this seat defeating Atta Surja Kanta of TMC by a margin of 7109 votes which was 4% of the total votes polled for the seat.
