Palashipara Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Nadia district in the South East Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. Chanderghat and Patharghata-II GPs of CDB Tehatta-I 2. CDB Tehatta-II, 3. Bikrampur, Bilkumari, Dhananjaypur and Haranagar GPs of CDB Nakashipara

This constituency covers an approximate area of 324 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Palashipara is: 23°43'11.6"N 88°25'29.3"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 82.39%, while it was 83.74% in 2016, and 86.07% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Dr Manik Bhattacharya of TMC won in this constituency beating Bibhash Chandra Mandal of BJP by a margin of 51336 votes which was 25.45% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Tapas Kumar Saha of TMC was the winner in this seat beating S.M.Sadi of CPIM by a margin of 5559 votes which was 3.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, S.M. Sadi of CPIM won this seat defeating Manik Bhattacharjee of TMC by a margin of 1652 votes which was 1.03% of the total votes polled for the seat.
