In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Pulak Roy of TMC won in this constituency beating Papia Dey (Adhikary) of BJP by a margin of 28438 votes which was 14.16% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Pulak Roy of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Md.Nasiruddin of AIFB by a margin of 35344 votes which was 19.94% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Pulak Roy of TMC won this seat defeating Ahmed Kutubuddin Sk. of AIFB by a margin of 11832 votes which was 7.94% of the total votes polled for the seat.
