In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Maha Nand Singh of CPIMLL won in this constituency beating Dipak Kumar Sharma of BJP by a margin of 19950 votes which was 13.78% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ravindra Singh of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Chitranjan Kumar of BJP by a margin of 17810 votes which was 13.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Chitranjan Kumar of BJP won this seat defeating Mahanand Prasad of CPIMLL by a margin of 4202 votes which was 4.43% of the total votes polled for the seat.
