In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Ajay Yadav of RJD won in this constituency beating Manorma Devi of JDU by a margin of 7931 votes which was 4.63% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Kunti Devi of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Arvind Kumar Singh of LJP by a margin of 13817 votes which was 8.87% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Krishna Nandan Yadav of JDU won this seat defeating Kunti Devi of RJD by a margin of 20610 votes which was 17.61% of the total votes polled for the seat.
