In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Prem Shankar Prasad of RJD won in this constituency beating Mithilesh Tiwari of BJP by a margin of 11113 votes which was 6.07% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Mithilesh Tiwari of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Manjeet Kumar Singh of JDU by a margin of 14115 votes which was 8.82% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Manjeet Kumar Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Devdatt Prasad of RJD by a margin of 36524 votes which was 29.14% of the total votes polled for the seat.
