In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rampravesh Rai of BJP won in this constituency beating Reyazul Haque Urf Raju of RJD by a margin of 14155 votes which was 8.04% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Md Nematullah of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Rampravesh Rai of BJP by a margin of 504 votes which was 0.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ram Pravesh Rai of BJP won this seat defeating M.Nematullah of RJD by a margin of 10414 votes which was 9.07% of the total votes polled for the seat.
