In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Niranjan Kumar Mehta of JDU won in this constituency beating Subhashini Bundela Alias Subhashini Sharad Yadav of INC by a margin of 18711 votes which was 10.01% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Niranjan Kumar Mehta of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Ravindra Charan Yadav of BJP by a margin of 29253 votes which was 16.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Renu Kumari of JDU won this seat defeating Prabhash Kumar of RJD by a margin of 49997 votes which was 32.76% of the total votes polled for the seat.
