In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Pawan Kumar Jaiswal of BJP won in this constituency beating Faisal Rahman of RJD by a margin of 10114 votes which was 4.87% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Faisal Rahman of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Pawan Kumar Jaiswal of BJP by a margin of 19197 votes which was 10.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Pawan Kumar Jaiswal of IND won this seat defeating Faisal Rahman of JDU by a margin of 1649 votes which was 1.3% of the total votes polled for the seat.
