In 2015, Satyadeo Prasad Singh of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Devesh Kant Singh of BJP by a margin of 7651 votes which was 4.61% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Bhumendra Narayan Singh of BJP won this seat defeating Indradeo Prasad of RJD by a margin of 14021 votes which was 11.23% of the total votes polled for the seat.
