In 2015, Maheshwar Hazari of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Prince Raj of LJP by a margin of 37686 votes which was 22.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ramsewak Hazari of JDU won this seat defeating Bishwnath Paswan of LJP by a margin of 30197 votes which was 23.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
