In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Dr. Nikki Hembrom of BJP won in this constituency beating Sweety Sima Hembram of RJD by a margin of 6421 votes which was 4.04% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Sweety Sima Hembram of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Nikki Hembram of BJP by a margin of 10337 votes which was 7.81% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Sonelal Hembram of BJP won this seat defeating Suklal Besara of RJD by a margin of 8763 votes which was 10.29% of the total votes polled for the seat.
