In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Bagi Kumar Verma of RJD won in this constituency beating Satyadeo Singh of JDU by a margin of 27810 votes which was 20.28% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Satyadeo Singh of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Ashok Kumar Verma of BLSP by a margin of 14119 votes which was 12.22% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Satyadev Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Shiv Bachan Yadav of RJD by a margin of 9493 votes which was 10.33% of the total votes polled for the seat.
