In 2015, Bhai Virendra of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Shrikant Nirala of BJP by a margin of 22828 votes which was 12.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Bhai Virendra of RJD won this seat defeating Srikant Nirala of JDU by a margin of 9601 votes which was 7.25% of the total votes polled for the seat.
