In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Anant Kumar Singh of RJD won in this constituency beating Rajeev Lochan Narayan Singh of JDU by a margin of 35757 votes which was 24.07% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Anant Kumar Singh of IND was the winner in this seat beating Neeraj Kumar of JDU by a margin of 18348 votes which was 12.69% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Anant Kumar Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Sonam Devi of LJP by a margin of 8954 votes which was 7.65% of the total votes polled for the seat.
