In 2015, Pramod Kumar of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Binod Kumar Shrivastava of RJD by a margin of 18517 votes which was 10.99% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Pramod Kumar of BJP won this seat defeating Rajesh Gupta Alias Bablu Gupta of RJD by a margin of 24530 votes which was 20.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
