In 2015, Vijay Kumar ''Vijay'' of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Pranav Kumar of BJP by a margin of 4365 votes which was 2.58% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Anant Kumar Satyarthy of JDU won this seat defeating Shabnam Perwin of RJD by a margin of 17613 votes which was 13.59% of the total votes polled for the seat.
