In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Shrawon Kumar of JDU won in this constituency beating Kaushlendra Kumar of JTVP by a margin of 16077 votes which was 9.48% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Shrawon Kumar of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Kaushlendra Kumar of BJP by a margin of 2996 votes which was 1.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Shrawon Kumar of JDU won this seat defeating Arun Kumar of RJD by a margin of 21037 votes which was 17.4% of the total votes polled for the seat.
