In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rambilash Kamat of JDU won in this constituency beating Vishwa Mohan Kumar of RJD by a margin of 19245 votes which was 10.59% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Yadubansh Kumar Yadav of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Vishwamohan Kumar of BJP by a margin of 36369 votes which was 22.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Sujata Devi of JDU won this seat defeating Dinbandhu Yadav of LJP by a margin of 14686 votes which was 11.73% of the total votes polled for the seat.
