In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Lalan Kumar of BJP won in this constituency beating Ram Vilash Paswan of RJD by a margin of 27019 votes which was 13.63% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ram Vilash Paswan of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Lalan Kumar of BJP by a margin of 5144 votes which was 2.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Aman Kumar of BJP won this seat defeating Ram Vilash Paswan of RJD by a margin of 5752 votes which was 4.46% of the total votes polled for the seat.
