In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Ashok Kumar Chodhary of JDU won in this constituency beating Umesh Kumar Ram of INC by a margin of 1537 votes which was 0.92% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Lal Babu Ram of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Arjun Ram of BJP by a margin of 13012 votes which was 8.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Suresh Chanchal of JDU won this seat defeating Lal Babu Ram of RJD by a margin of 13045 votes which was 11.29% of the total votes polled for the seat.
