In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Chetan Anand of RJD won in this constituency beating Md. Sharfuddin of JDU by a margin of 36686 votes which was 21.41% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Sharfuddin of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Labhali Anand of HAMS by a margin of 461 votes which was 0.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Sharfuddin of JDU won this seat defeating Pratima Devi of BSP by a margin of 1631 votes which was 1.36% of the total votes polled for the seat.
