In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Chandrahas Chaupal of RJD won in this constituency beating Ramesh Rishidev of JDU by a margin of 5573 votes which was 2.92% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ramesh Rishidev of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Manju Devi of HAMS by a margin of 50200 votes which was 29.88% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ramesh Rishidev of JDU won this seat defeating Amit Kumar Bharti of RJD by a margin of 15196 votes which was 10.46% of the total votes polled for the seat.
