In 2015, Prahlad Yadav of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Prem Ranjan Patel of BJP by a margin of 30030 votes which was 18.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Prem Ranjan Patel of BJP won this seat defeating Prahlad Yadav of RJD by a margin of 2928 votes which was 2.28% of the total votes polled for the seat.
