In 2015, Sudama Prasad of CPIMLL was the winner in this seat beating Gita Pandey of LJP by a margin of 272 votes which was 0.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Narendra Kumar Pandey Alias Sunil Pandey of JDU won this seat defeating Adib Rizvi of RJD by a margin of 14320 votes which was 11.21% of the total votes polled for the seat.
