In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Ram Ratan Singh of CPI won in this constituency beating Birendra Kumar of JDU by a margin of 47979 votes which was 28.04% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Birendra Kumar of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Ram Lakhan Singh of BJP by a margin of 15611 votes which was 9.77% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Lalan Ku of BJP won this seat defeating Ram Ratan Singh of CPI by a margin of 5846 votes which was 4.74% of the total votes polled for the seat.
